SK Recycles (formerly Multi-Material Stewardship Western) was launched in 2016 to represent the interests of producers in fulfilling their obligations to fund up to 75% of recycling programs in the province for residential packaging and paper. SK Recycles has formed partnerships with over 500 municipalities, regional waste authorities and First Nations communities.
Under the new regulation, the province will transition to an extended producer responsibility model. Circular Materials and SK Recycles are working together to provide Saskatchewan residents and producers with the benefits of a nationally integrated approach to recycling.
