Multi-Material Stewardship Manitoba (MMSM) is responsible for implementing its Program Plan on behalf of producers to fulfil their obligation to fund up to 80% of the residential packaging and printed paper recycling program in Manitoba. MMSM helps ensure that as much recyclable material as possible does not end up in a landfill.
MMSM is in the process of transitioning to a full extended producer responsibility program. The organization has completed consultations and has developed and submitted a plan to transition to full extended producer responsibility to the government of Manitoba.
